One of the newest additions to Amsterdam?s growing list of vegan restaurants, Mr. & Mrs. Watson seeks to show off what plant-based cuisine really has to offer.

Vegan galore

Mr. &: Mrs. Watson, a newly opened vegan restaurant in Amsterdam Oost, was founded after Aleid Koopal and Kirsi Rautiainen learned that for every 1,000 vegans in Amsterdam, there was only one vegan restaurant. Now, with a menu offering solely plant-based fare, the city has one more to add to the list. Mr. &: Mrs. Watson is a haven for vegans, but also for cheese lovers: in addition to its own homemade vegan cheeses such as Roquefort, it serves up a variety of delectable cheesecakes, including caramel and white chocolate. Comfort foods such as pizza, pad Thai and waffles are also on the menu to satisfy the vegan-curious.
